Looking for the perfect outfit to celebrate the New Year? Here are some great ideas.
Outfit #1
Sequins on New Year's Eve are a definite must. Try sequin shoes or tops and keep the rest simple.
Outfit #2
Black and beige always look great together.
Dresses
Be extravagant! Wear sequin or bold print dresses because it's one of the rare occasions you get to be glamorous. However, keep your accessories simple and minimal, you want the dress to stand out.

Winter Coat Guide
Winter is almost here. With temperatures on the mild side you still have time to find the perfect winter coat. Here is the Net a la Mode guide to winter coats:
The camel coat has been resurrected with this season's minimalism approach. From short to long styles and blonde to caramel hues, you have ample choice. Here is a great two tone Mackage coat. The detailing makes it different while keeping it classic.
If you live in cold temperatures and are looking for a warm and stylish coat look no further, Moose Knuckles has you covered with their great down bomber.
Versatile and different are the two words that best describe this fall's cape trend.
A very big European trend that has emerged this winter is the "shinny" puffer jacket. It brings a chicness to the classic puffer jacket. But why no go for this Soia & Kyo reversible one.

The classic black wool coat is very "pass partout" but the leather detail on this Mackage Petra coat makes it different and the belt adds shape to the coat.
*Tip: When buying a wool coat make sure to accentuate the waste, you don't want to look too square!

Military inspired
Cargo pants: SL8
Sweater: Vintage
Ankle boots: Nine West
Here is my military inspired outfit. I paired my cargo skinny pants with a fitted sweater jacket. The cargo pants are a great alternative to skinny jeans, they are fun, different and really comfortable. Also, pairing them with the jacket brings a good mix of casual and chic. Finally, I decided to wear my Nine West ankle boots which look great with the cargo pants and the buckles definitely play on the season's trend.

Cross body bags
Strappy cross body bags have definitely made their mark this season. Since they first appeared on the Marc Jacobs fall '07 runway, they have been popping up on the streets everywhere. The style has also been adopted by several celebrities and it has become the signature style to some actresses such as Reese Witherspoon.
I absolutely love the style, I find it very versatile because most cross body bags have two different strap lengths and you can therefore create two completely different looks. I also find them very practical because they leave both hands free. They are perfect for running everyday errands!

Snoods
American Apparel, who are famous for their 'ways to wear it' campaign, have come out with the very versatile circle scarf, which can even be worn as a dress. Impressive right?

Valentino for Gap
To celebrate Gap's arrival in Italy, the international retailer announced, a couple months ago, it's collaboration with Valentino to produce a seven piece 'capsule collection'. The collection launched on November 26th in stores across Europe and was a huge success, selling out in a couple of hours.
The seven piece collection combines Gap's simplicity and Valentino's signature ruffle style, and it plays on one of the big trends this season cargo! I love the parka and ruffle pants. Take a look and let me know what you think?
