Hello to all,

Allow me to introduce myself as NET A LA MODE’s new blogger, and let me just begin by telling you how delighted I am to be writing for all of you.

Welcome to your online portal of sartorial heaven; my position is to help you navigate and nurture the complex concepts of Fashion vs. Style. Mind you, I don’t intend of adopting the role of a Dr. Phil for fashion and I am no Carrie Bradshaw, think of me more as an advocate for killer style – I know I definitely am.

 

I abide by, I sincerely do, the dictums of the mother and father of all Fashion and Style: Mademoiselle Coco Chanel. Besides, she is the one that once said “Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman” and that “a girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” It’s because of her lethal brilliance that I refer to her as a Fashion Scholar.  

I take the stand to preach about style, as dramatic and glorified as that may sound, appearance and how you feel as well as manifest your appearance is key. It’s what differentiates an individual who is able to take the current trends and cultivate them into a custom-made look, from the ones who basically, tried-too-hard/ Wanabe-Vogue-model.
