Blogger & Fashion Editor Elodie Parthenay's STYLE PICKS & TIPS

Blogger from Hello Elo and Fashion Editor for Loulou Magazine, Elodie Parthenay is this month's Guest Editor. Check out her STYLE PICKS on and her STYLE TIPS here on our blog.

"I love a nice sheer top – and with the hot temperatures coming our way, it’s always good to
feel the fresh air as much as possible! And isn’t the print simply adorable? But pulling off
sheerness requires two things: a black bra, and a demure bottom. Jeans are ok, leather
chaps are not."
"While we’re on the subject of basics, one good pair of jeans (or two, or twenty) goes a long
way, as long as you’re willing to make some effort around it. This particular shade of blue is
perfect for the warmer months."

"Spring-Summer 2012 is all about mixing and matching prints. That’s when this skirt comes
in handy, because its pattern is bold enough to stand alone, while still leaving room for
another printed piece in your outfit, such as a floral top for example."

"Think of this Gentlefawn blazer as the best way to ad interest and a touch of chic to your simple looks this summer. I can totally imagine Nicole Richie wearing it. I can totally imagine myself wearing it as well. Ha! Can you see white skinny pants and a pair of tan cap-toed ballerina flats? Because that’s what I see. "

"I was raised to believe that a good pair of shoes can make an entire outfit, words I still live
by! With a simple jeans and shirt combo or an evening look, those wedges would take me
from work to play in a hearbeat. I’m actually obsessed by their gorgeous metallic finish, to
be honest. Expect to see them pop in my shoe-sing sooner or later!"

"The combo of crocodile embossing, metallic detailing and icy shade just make this the
perfect little bag for summer. Something in it just calls for maxi skirts and modernized 70’s
looks in cold tones."

"Colored jeans are such a great way to refresh our denim routine this season! The peach
shade just screams summer, gelato and BBQs, and it doesn’t get any comfier that a pair of
Yoga Jeans from Second. Those would look great with a white shirt and some cork, wood or tan leather wedges!"
