Happ-E-Shopping from your new Blogger!

Hello to all,

Allow me to introduce myself as NET A LA MODE’s new blogger, and let me just begin by telling you how delighted I am to be writing for all of you.

Welcome to your online portal of sartorial heaven; my position is to help you navigate and nurture the complex concepts of Fashion vs. Style. Mind you, I don’t intend of adopting the role of a Dr. Phil for fashion and I am no Carrie Bradshaw, think of me more as an advocate for killer style – I know I definitely am.
I abide by, I sincerely do, the dictums of the mother and father of all Fashion and Style: Mademoiselle Coco Chanel. Besides, she is the one that once said “Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman” and that “a girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” It’s because of her lethal brilliance that I refer to her as a Fashion Scholar.

I take the stand to preach about style, as dramatic and glorified as that may sound, appearance and how you feel as well as manifest your appearance is key. It’s what differentiates an individual who is able to take the current trends and cultivate them into a custom-made look, from the ones who basically, tried-too-hard/ Wanabe-Vogue-model.

Here at NET A LA MODE’s Blog, we will bring you elite, cutting-edge fashion looks, help you achieve it, and then rock it like no other.

Stay tuned and Happ-E-shopping!

Marjorie's Closet Inteview with Christopher Kon

In collaboration with NET A LA MODE, I had the pleasure meeting handbag designer Christopher Kon.
The interview was suppose to initially be recorded. Though technology challenged us, we decided to not let gadgets turn us down. We made for you an exclusive post about the brilliant artist’s take on fashion life and style.

Christopher Kon’s discovered his passion for fine arts at the age of 6 years old. Later at the age of 18 years old he dropped out of his fine arts school to finally plunge into the business world. All he had in mind was to be creative with designing bags.
With years of hard work and determination, a collection of practical and fashionable bags emerged. Christopher perfected his craft with keeping in mind what customer wants. “It’s not about a demography, it’s not an age, it’s a way of life, a way of thinking”, he says. Kon’s handbag collection is all about authentic luxury.
What makes Christopher Kon’s bag, so special? He keeps it pure, simple and designs timeless pieces. He uses fine leather to insure the longevity and durability of the bag.
Also, he created a label called Co-Lab focused on keeping an interactive relationship with his customers. Getting customer’s feedback on what they want and love helps provide better assortments to come up with better functional styles.

To him, living life in style is about being interested in different things that are going to influence your lifestyle. Style is not about brands, is about mixing highs and lows in terms of price points. Also, it’s to do what makes you feel good.
I truly enjoy listening to inspiring artists and share with you how genuine they are. Getting up and close with individuals in the fashion industry simply changes my perspective when buying new pieces. I feed off of designer’s positive energy to stay inspired.
With that being said take a look at Marjorie's Closet Facebook fan page for exclusive news and tips.
